Giorgio La Corte
Founder
Engineer by education, dreamer by nature, Giorgio La Corte founded Forma&Cemento to combine the two identities. Born and raised in Sicily, Rome is the city that welcomed and “adopted” him more than 20 years ago. It is in Rome that Forma&Cemento’s adventure begins, with the aim to exalt concrete for the aesthetic qualities of the material as well as its technical qualities: a production in tune with the changing times that combines sustainability, elegance and durability.
Marialaura Irvine
Creative Director
Graduated in architecture in Naples under Riccardo Dalisi. From the poetry of design and a deep respect for tradition and history, in 2000 she was catapulted into the capital of italian design for a master in strategic design at the Politecnico.
Concreteness became a challenge, marketing, communication and strategy the keynote. For a number of years she collaborated with italian design brands, and grew
accustomed to consider the product within a comprehensive corporate process. Then, after meeting James Irvine, she moved on tiptoe into a different, british atmosphere.
In 2011 she became a partner of his firm, where industrial products were the throbbing heart of design. Today Marialaura runs studio Irvine and works with clients such as Muji, Amorim, Yamakawa, Matteo Brioni, Offecct.
Gabriele De Chirico
Forma&Cemento Studio
Born in Rome in 1995. In 2019 Gabriele graduated in "Industrial Design" at "La Sapienza" University of Rome with a thesis focused on the use of new eco-materials entitled "Designing with materials: natural fibers with Eco-design ". In 2020 he concluded the Master in "Product Design & Made in Italy" at the "Quasar Institute for Advanced Design" University in Rome, graduating with honors.
Jacopo Ciucci Colli
Forma&Cemento Studio
Born in Rome in 1996, Jacopo graduated in Industrial Design at La Sapienza and he completed his education with a Master Degree in Product Design & Made in Italy at Quasar University in Rome. Over the years, alongside his activity as a Designer, he deepens the scope of Project Development in various Startups and emerging brands. Since 2018 he has been part of Arc-Ink, a multidisciplinary agency active in the field of international super-luxury where he works in architectural projects and high-profile collections.
Simone Bartolucci
Born in Città di Castello in 1984, while studying Industrial Design at La Sapienza university in Rome he starts working as a designer in “design trasparente”, a company that produces methacrylate objects. Some of his projects are included in the product catalogue.
He is co-founder of paula design studio, where he works until 2016.
He gains his degree in industrial design and collaborates in the artisanal workshop of Roberto Baffigo, specialised in the production of jewellery in composite materials and precious metals.
Valerio Ciampicacigli
Thanks to his international experience, which matured in the fields of Industrial Design, Interior Design, advertising, and communication, Ciampicacigli brings forward a design approach which combines tradition, creativity, and problem solving. Paula design studio is featured in numerous publications (Monitor - Russia, Ad - Italy, Elle - Italy, Icon - Uk) and has taken part to important events in the most famous design venues: Milan furniture fair (2008-2009), London tent (2010) and Vitra design museum (2010).
Laura Mochi Onori
Born in Rome in 1986, Laura graduated in Eu architecture from La Sapienza University of Rome in 2012 and specialised in home decoration at Central Saint Martins in London. Admitted to the order of Architects of Rome and province, she collaborated with several architectural firms in roments in the most famous design venues: Milan furniture fair (2008-2009), London tent (2010) and Vitra design museum (2010).
Gaia Rebecchini
Born in Washington in 1988, Gaia lives between Rome, Washington, Paris and New York.
She followed her graduation in Eu architecture from la Sapienza University of Rome with an academic year at the New York Institute of Technology, graduating in 2012. Admitted to the order of architects of Rome and province, she works in architecture and exhibitions.
Lorenzo Rebecchini
Born in Rome in 1990, Lorenzo lives between Rome, Paris, and London.
He graduated in 2011 in industrial design from IED Rome and in 2012 obtained a Master of Arts in Product design from London metropolitan university. He worked for two years in the expand design Ltd. Studio.
In 2015 he became junior production manager at David Gill gallery in London, where he works with designers, architects, and artists of international renown.
Emiliano Scotti
Born in Rome, he graduated in 2004 in architecture from la Sapienza University of Rome specializing in urban design. He then joined the teaching staff of the Valle Giulia school of architecture in Rome. Emiliano moved to Barcelona from 2005 to 2010 to work with the OAB (Office for architecture in Barcelona) together with architect Carlos Ferrater and then returned to Italy as project manager of the studio of Massimilano Fuksas in Rome.
He founded his own studio in 2013 specialising in urban development projects, Interior and Industrial design.
Gae Avitabile
“Architect with a bent for design” Gae Avitabile after a long working experience in France returned to Caserta, choosing the region of Campania as his place of residence and inspiration for his work. Here, far from the official routes of design, Gae's research takes an independent path in his design and experimentation with new materials, an activity which always flows through a careful mapping of the local artisan expertise and resources. Every project is part of a process where
ideas and reality adapt reciprocally, in which the final result can only be original and experimental.
Alessandro Gorla
Alessandro Gorla is the founder and Creative Director of Studio Algoritmo, design reality specialized in Product, Interior and Graphic Design. Trained as a Designer at the Politecnico di Milano, his style of work is simple, ironic and essential.
He is capable of transforming suggestions and answering to unconventional design
questions. Distinctive and primitive, his style hints at the gestures which has led to the creation of the object itself. Alessandro Gorla teaches at the ISAD in Chihuahua (Mexico), where he conceived the program IDE&A (Italian Design Experience & Apprenticeship). He is also professor of the Product Design Laboratories, Director of the Master in Product Design and Made in Italy and Creative Director of Quasar's digital manufacturing
laboratory Institute for Advanced Design of Rome.
Tsukasa Goto
Tsukasa Goto born in Tokyo 1981. He graduated in Salesian Politecnic and university of Art and Design of Nagoya in Japan to finaly move to milan in 2004. 2006-2007 with artist Luca Pancrazzi, In 2007 with designer Donata Paruccini.
From 2007 with David Chipperfield Architects Milan. 2011 with Marco Gazzini.Awarded “Cristalplant Design Contest + MDF “.In the same year produces the modular system ‘Mademoiselles’ for Officinanove. 2013 started to work himself. same year presented his new concept“Facendo”during Salone del mobile. 2014 presented new products in Salone Satellite_ Milan-Rho. His collaboration with Officinanove, Elements Optimal Denmark and works with some international clients. The base of each new design process is the study of the shapes and colors of nature, the observation of the natural geometries and urban life.
Alessandra Salaris
Studio Salaris
Alessandra Salaris, founder of Studio Salaris, is a creative consultant with a background in interior design from IED, Brunel University, and Milan Polytechnic.
After beginning her career as a stylist for Italian and international design magazines and brands, she founded Studio Salaris in Milan in 2005. The studio specializes in styling, art direction, interior, and product design, working with prestigious publications like Elle Decor, Casa Vogue, and the Wall Street Journal, as well as renowned brands such as Armani, B&B Italia, Ikea, and Poltrona Frau. Her style is recognized for its flowing forms, sophisticated color use, trend experimentation, and deep design history knowledge, embodying a distinct, creative, and refined aesthetic.
Clementine Chambon
Clementine Chambon is a designer and artist whose multidisciplinary practice spans furniture design and fine arts. With a background from the Boulle school and ENSCI - Les Ateliers, she began her career with Marc Newson before co-founding Design Percept and then establishing her own studio in 2019. Her work blends craftsmanship and industrial techniques, often using humor to explore domestic design and production methods. Collaborating with galleries, heritage companies, and public institutions, Chambon's work is known for its durability, expressive style, and vibrant colors. Key achievements include the acquisition of her "Elliptic Chair" by the National Center for Plastic Arts and her "Doll" lamp by the Mobilier National. Her driftwood revalorization project was selected by the French Ministry of Culture's Mondes Nouveaux program.
Serena Confalonieri
Serena Confalonieri is a Milan-based designer and art director specializing in product, interior, graphic, and textile design, collaborating with top-tier companies and artisans in Italy and abroad. Known for her graphic, colorful, and whimsical style, her work combines decorative elements, geometric shapes, and playful anthropomorphic and zoomorphic inspirations. Confalonieri’s projects start from thorough research on historical and material elements, focusing on surfaces to ensure consistency in patterns, colors, and textures.
After studying Interior Design at Politecnico di Milano, she gained experience in Barcelona, Berlin, and several Milanese studios. Her 2013 Milan Design Week debut included collaborations with brands like cc-tapis, Nodus, and Wall & Decò. Since then, she has partnered with prominent brands such as Abate Zanetti, Crate & Barrel, Swatch, and Saba Italia. Confalonieri has also served as art director and created site-specific installations for events and institutions, including the Municipality of Milan and Archiproducts. She works with institutions like Triennale Milano and Fondazione Cologni to modernize artisanal crafts, helping to preserve endangered skills and knowledge.

Strato is an architecture studio founded in Rome in 2007 by Martino Fraschetti and Vincenzo Tattolo.
Studio Strato embraces a collaborative design process, prioritizing the needs of the client. In each project, the team applies an in-depth knowledge of materials, color, and lighting, which they consider essential for creating a unique space.

Studio Booboon
Studio Booboon is a design practice based in Paris that works on a wide range of projects exploring the boundaries between materiality, form, tradition and modernity. Founded by two designers Jisu Yun and Richard Bone, the studio draws inspiration from the essence of small details that shape our daily lives. Sebastian Bergne
British Industrial designer Sebastian Bergne is renowned for making everyday objects special with his essential and human approach to design.
Sebastian’s versatility allows him to work in different ways. As an external Industrial designer to international brands, as a designer and supplier of bespoke objects for restaurants, institutions and individuals, as art director to new or established brands or even as producer of his growing collection of studio editions.
Having graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1990, he founded his studio in the same year. His achievements have since been widely recognised with many international design awards, frequent publications, exhibitions and inclusion in museum collections such as The Museum of Modern Art (New York), Musée des Arts Décoratifs (Paris) and the Design Museum (London). His wealth of experience makes him sought after as a curator, lecturer, educator and mentor to emerging design talent.
